The Angel gave the three children Holy Communion. Lucia received the Host, while Francisco and Jacinta received the Most Precious Blood. Both are the true Presence of Our Lord (Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity), but the angel’s administration suggested the individual vocations for Lucia and her two cousins. Lucia would remain with the Mystical Body of the Church Militant for many years, while Francisco and Jacinta would each suffer a bodily Passion before their early deaths and their entrance into the Church Triumphant.
