REVELATION OF MARCH 7, 1847
Our Lord joyously announces to Sister Mary that the hour is near when the Work of Reparation to the Holy Face will be established, calling it the "most beautiful work under the sun." When the Sister still worries somewhat about certain obstacles, He assures her that those obstacles were only "the falling mist of the early dawn ushering in a beautiful day."
FOR SEVERAL MONTHS now our Lord had led me in various ways to work for the salvation of souls. But today I heard the voice of our Lord calling me anew to the task of making Reparation for blasphemies. This is the third time that He has repeated His invitation to me to work for this end. I have great confidence that this Work will be established because some time ago our Lord Himself assured me of this. For that reason therefore I would never abandon my hope in Him Who is Omnipotent, even though I saw both the earth and hell itself opposing this Work. In fact, our Lord confided to me that He would allow the demon to cross His works to test the fidelity of His servants.
And so today our Lord gave me the following promise:
"Rejoice, My daughter, because the hour approaches when the most beautiful Work under the sun will be born. Offer My Sacred Heart to the Eternal Father to obtain it."
But as I reflected on the obstacles that still stood in the way and wondered about them, our Lord said to me:
"That is only the falling mist of the early dawn ushering in a beautiful day!"
Our Lord then urged me to surrender myself anew into His hands to suffer interiorly and exteriorly whatever He willed, in order that His plans in this Work could be accomplished, reminding me that I was but a weak tool in His hands, which He wielded as He willed. This is indeed so because I can labor at this Work only through a special grace as He wills and whenever He wills. During the past several months, for instance, I did not attend to the Work of Reparation — not from indifference but because our Lord drew me to other matters. At present, however, I feel myself under the special influence of His grace which urges me to apply myself to this work.
